Bridgera is an innovative custom software solutions company specializing in developing Internet of Things (IoT) products. We develop custom IoT connected solutions for our customers. We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to be involved in some of our critical IoT projects and product development work.

The right candidate will possess a strong software development background, will have demonstrated experience working in medium to large projects across multiple teams, and will want to have the passion to delight our IoT customers. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the operation of electrical and electronic machines and should be able to pull data from these machines. Previous experience of working on IoT projects is not required but desirable.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You will be responsible for requirement analysis, software design, IoT architecture, software development, unit testing, and successful deployment to cloud. This position requires you to work closely with the customers.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will:

  • Actively participate in requirement gathering and requirement analysis process. Work closely with the stakeholders, understand the vision, capture requirements, and create detailed software specification documents.
  • Design the components for a cloud-based IoT software platform, work with the stakeholders, and get the design approved.
  • Create high-level and low-level technical design documents.
  • Work as a lead of the software development team, share the approved design, and arrange required training to bring the team up to speed with the required technology stack.
  • Develop the critical components of the IoT platform and review the code written by other developers in the team.
  • Prepare user documentation and release notes.
  • Write unit test cases and use code quality analysis tools to improve the overall code quality.
  • Coordinate UAT execution and signoff.
  • Help sales team with due diligence, gap analysis, SOW, and RFP response.
  • Actively participate in hiring and mentoring of development team members.
  • Create plan for scalability and high availability of the IoT products. Create plans to minimize service downtime. Report and react to service outages promptly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Overall 10+ years of experience with software development and management.
  • Prior experience of working on web, mobile, IoT projects.
  • Familiarity with the following technologies – Angular, Node JS, React JS, React Native, Java.
  • Previous experience of working with Relational (MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
  • Understanding of the operation of electrical and electronic machines/ equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills via numerous methods (in-person, phone calls, video calls, instant messaging, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
