Logistics Solution for a Dumpster Company
The Challenge
A local dumpster delivery company has been managing its operation manually and was using the fleet tracking solution from a national telecom carrier to track its drivers. The company grew a lot in the recent past and the current manual operation model was not scalable enough to support the growth. The fleet tracking solution was not customizable and it did not meet the actual need of the company. They were in need of a custom IT solution to automate their operations, track the drivers and dumpsters.
Bridgera Solution
Using Bridgera IoT platform as the foundation we created a custom Logistics solution for the dumpster company. Instead of requesting the dumpsters via a phone call, the commercial customers can now place and track the order via a mobile app. The dispatchers have full access to all the orders, schedule and assign the move to the drivers from the web portal. A mobile app is created for the drivers which allows complete paperless transactions with minimal interaction with the driver and the customer. The dispatcher can track the progress in real-time and track the drivers via GPS, the phone app helps the drivers with efficient dumpster pick ups and drop offs using the location awareness of the app.
